Another day, another dominant scoring performance for Chennedy Carter.

Carter and Wuhan Shengfan defeated the Henan Phoenix for the second game in a row, this time behind a 35-point outing in her latest game of Women's Chinese Basketball Association play. She added eight rebounds, eight assists and four steals, according to a Saturday tweet from Chinese Women's Hoop Show. Carter's night was highlighted by a crossover and drive inside for a contested layup against a pair of defenders.

The 5-foot-9 guard hit 15 of her 31 shots in the comeback victory, adding to an efficient WCBA run that is seeing her hit over 57% of her 2-point tries from the floor. Chicago's leading scorer from the Sky's 2024 campaign has had a solid all-around run with Wuhan this season. She is adding 8.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game in this year's WCBA run. Wuhan is tied with the Heilongjiang Dragons, her former WCBA squad, for the top spot in the league's Group B standings. The team features a Washington Mystics and Minnesota Lynx veteran in forward Myisha Hines-Allen. She is proving herself to be a leader for the squad as she she leads them in points, rebounds, assists and steals per game. Carter was a leading scorer for Chicago last season, a quality that is being replicated with her stellar play in the WCBA.

Wuhan currently ranks as the sixth-highest scoring team in the WCBA with an average of 82.2 points per game. The Shanghai Swordfish, which feature Sky center Kamilla Cardoso, rank right behind them. Sichuan Yuanda Meile ranks first in the league with just over 96 points per game. Headlined by two players with previous WNBA experience in Han Xu and Li Meng, Sichuan has proven to be one of the top shooting and passing teams in the WCBA on their way to the top spot in the Group A standings.
