The Chicago Sky added forward Ajša Sivka and guard Hailey Van Lith with the No. 10 and No. 11 picks in the 2025 WNBA Draft, respectively.

Sivka, a 6-foot-4 Slovenian forward, most recently played for Tarbes Gespe Bigorre from the French LFB. She averaged 11 points per game in the eight EuroCup games she suited up for this season. The 19-year-old forward won a gold medal in the 2023 Women's European Championship with the Slovenian U18 National Team. Sivka will add depth to a Sky forward group that includes Michaela Onyenwere, who joined the Sky in the 2024 trade that sent Kahleah Copper to the Phoenix Mercury.

Van Lith proved to be a star for TCU during the final season of her collegiate career. The former LSU teammate of Angel Reese saw a resurgent season with the Horned Frogs that saw her average 17.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and a career-high 5.4 assists per game. The 5-foot-9 guard will have the chance to play behind a Sky legend in guard Courtney Vandersloot, who was brought back on a 1-year contract following 12 stellar seasons with the Windy City franchise.

Sky add to potential on offense with 1st-rounders

The Sky continued to add to their offensive potential with their two 1st-round selections.

Sivka can be a reliable shooting and passing option for the future should her skillset with TGB translate to the WNBA. Van Lith, a Big 12 Player of the Year for TCU, may be the playmaker the Sky need as she reunites with Reese at the professional level. Both players can be foundational pieces for the future after the Sky sped up their rebuilding process with the additions of Vandersloot and a few notable names at the two guard.

Chicago has been in need of players who could boost their offense after it dipped following the departure of Copper and guard Marina Mabrey. The Sky fell to 11th place in the WNBA with an average of 77.4 points per game, which would be their worst mark since their 2014 campaign. They can continue to revitalize their offense if they can pair the newly-selected duo with players who can stretch the floor and create for the Sky off the ball to tap into the passing potential of Van Lith and Sivka. Chicago will still have the No. 16 and No. 22 picks to add depth at the power forward and potentially find their shooting guard of the future.
