The Chicago Sky revealed two preseason matchups against the Minnesota Lynx in a Monday release.

The two teams will face off on May 6 at 6 p.m. CST in Wintrust Arena and again on May 10 at 7 p.m. CST in the Target Center. The Sky had previously announced they would face the Brazilian National Team at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center at LSU in January. Chicago last won a preseason opener against the Las Vegas Aces in 2020, when now-Phoenix Mercury guard Kahleah Copper led the Sky with 18 points against an A'ja Wilson and Angel McCoughtry-led Aces squad. They last won a preseason game against the Lynx in 2023 in what would be their final preseason matchup before they tipped off their regular-season campaign at the Target Center.

Chicago will face Minnesota four times during the regular season, including in back-to-back home games and three times in four matchups in July. The Sky were swept in last year's 3-game regular-season series with the Lynx, but showed positive signs from their youthful big duo in a close defeat in September. Forward Angel Reese and center Kamilla Cardoso ended the bout with a combined 39 points, while Reese tacked on 19 rebounds and two steals. Forward Napheesa Collier, who earned her first Defensive Player of the Year selection last season, will be a player to look out for as the Sky take to Wintrust Arena this May.

The Sky have added extra firepower in their backcourt before they face the 2024 runners-up in the Lynx. They brought back a 12-year legend in guard Courtney Vandersloot, who played in all five games of this year's WNBA Finals series for the New York Liberty. Vandersloot can help boost the playmaking potential of a Sky squad in desperate need of passing talent since the loss of guard Courtney Williams, who took her talents to Minnesota and proved to be a hero for the Lynx in Game 1 of the Finals.
