Guard Chennedy Carter earned a triple-double in her latest dominant performance in the Women's Chinese Basketball Association, WNBACentral wrote in a Monday tweet.

Carter logged 33 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists as Wuhan Shengfan took an 85-69 win over Hefei. She picked off five passes in the first of a back-to-back matchup against the Group B rival. It would be Wuhan's third win of the regular season against Hefei, officially earning them the season series win as the league starts to wind down is regular season play. Carter has logged 40-point games on six occasions this season, which has boosted her per-game average to a league-leading 31.1 points per game.

Today is the last day the Chicago Sky can offer Carter a qualifying offer before she becomes an unrestricted free agent. While it does not guarantee she will leave the squad, it would make retaining the scoring guard a little easier for a team with one of the league's lower-ranking offenses last year. Chicago extended qualifying offers to forward Michaela Onyenwere, guard Dana Evans and forward Nikolina Milić last week. The Sky will have three unrestricted free agents, including guard Diamond DeShields, heading into the league's contract negotiation period tomorrow.

Chicago will be in need of scoring help if Carter moves onto another squad.

Aside from Carter and guard Marina Mabrey, who the Sky traded to the Connecticut Sun in July, Chicago only had two players with double-digit point averages last season. With a few of the league's top free agents being cored by their respective teams, it could be more difficult to roll the dice on a more prominent name to take the place of Carter's scoring. The Sky can try their hand on adding guard help in the 2025 WNBA Draft, but adding surefire scoring options via free agency will be difficult without giving up one of Chicago's draft picks.
