Two Chicago legends in Candace Parker and Dwyane Wade are expected to join Amazon's NBA coverage, Front Office Sports wrote in a Tuesday article.

Parker would come aboard as a studio analyst for WNBA and NBA games, the article continued. Wade would join as a game and studio analyst. The Naismith Hall-of-Famer joined NBC's broadcasting team for Team USA men's basketball games during the 2024 Paris Olympics. He joined ESPN and Fox Sports analyst LaChina Robinson and NBC Sports play-by-play broadcaster Noah Eagle.

Parker, a two-time WNBA MVP and seven-time All-Star, helped guide the Chicago Sky to their first WNBA championship in 2021 following 13 seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks. The Naperville Central product carved out Hall-of-Fame-caliber careers in the WNBA and with the Tennessee Volunteers, where she won two NCAA championships with a Hall-of-Fame coach in Pat Summitt.

Wade would make his mark on the NBA during his 15 seasons with the Miami Heat, where he would earn 13 All-Star selections and three NBA championships. The Chicago native suited up with the Chicago Bulls for one season, where he took part in the "three alphas" era featuring Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo. Wade became a minority owner of the Sky in 2023 after purchasing an ownership stake in the NBA's Utah Jazz two years before.

Parker continues to grow her broadcasting and media portfolio

Parker has built up a reputable broadcasting and media career since even before she announced her retirement last year.

She recently joined TNT's studio coverage of Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 league that featured a handful of Sky stars. Her career goes back to 2018, where she joined Turner Sports to serve as a commentator for NBA on TNT and NBA TV. Parker was featured in "Film Study," a series presented by Bleacher Report that breaks down film with college athletes. The first installment featured now-TCU guard Olivia Miles, who made the shocking decision to forego the 2025 WNBA Draft and enter the transfer portal late last month.

Parker's name has appeared in plenty of headlines since the start of the offseason.

The Sparks announced they will retire her jersey on the last night the Sky will make the trek to Tinseltown this season. Chicago will face Parker's former team three times this season, including twice on the road, over the course of their 2025 regular season campaign. Parker was also part of an investment group of her own that submitted a bid for a Nashville-based WNBA franchise last January.
