The Chicago Sky are battling for a spot in the playoffs as the All-Star break approaches. Angel Reese becoming a star as a rookie has them sitting seventh in the standings and just two games ahead of the ninth-place Atlanta Dream. The 22-year-old is breaking records held by legends and battling Caitlin Clark for rookie of the year as Chicago attempts to make a sixth straight playoff appearance.

Reese and Clark have helped grow the game tremendously. They were rivals in college and are now battling in the WNBA. Both are must-watch and their showdowns take things to another level, but fans will see a first on July 20.

Clark and Reese will play on the same team in the WNBA All-Star game. The league’s best players are taking on Team USA for this year’s festivities, and fans cannot miss it. The 6’3 forward believes this is not the last time she plays with Clark.

Reese was on NBA Today on July 10 where she discussed a host of topics from her record to the All-Star game. When asked about teaming with Clark, the Sky’s star shared her excitement.

"It is going to be really cool…We are going to be playing together for a while, so this is not going to be the first time. I know we will be All-Stars again. Hopefully, in 2028, we will be Olympians together too."

She is not wrong. Clark and Reese are quickly becoming the faces of the league. Not many players dominate as rookies, but this star duo is making it look easy. There will be several more All-Star games and do not rule out both playing crucial roles in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Fans know Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese as rivals, but that won’t be the case in the WNBA All-Star game. They will be teaming up against the best the USA has to offer. It will be a chance for both rookies to prove they should have been selected for the 2024 Olympics.

Reese plans to go to Paris to support her country. She may not be suiting up for Team USA, but her experience at the games should certainly help when attempting to make the squad in 2028.

Clark and Reese will be top players in the WNBA for years to come. Fans will get to enjoy plenty more battles and some rare occasions where the two are teammates.
